Testosterone Therapy (TRT) in Honolulu — Men’s Hormone Health
If you’ve been feeling more drained than you used to, waking up unrefreshed, noticing lower drive, slower recovery, loss of strength, changes in mood, or a drop in libido, it may not be “just getting older.” Hormone levels can shift over time—and the right next step is a proper medical evaluation, not a one-size-fits-all plan.
At Aloha Aesthetics MD in Honolulu, Dr. Foo offers an MD-led TRT evaluation built around symptoms, appropriate lab testing, and ongoing monitoring—and we only recommend therapy when it makes medical sense.

TESTOSTERONE THERAPY
What is Testosterone Therapy (TRT)?
Q & A

TRT is a medical treatment used to address testosterone deficiency in appropriate candidates. Symptoms can overlap with sleep issues, stress, thyroid problems, and other medical conditions—so evaluation matters.
Common concerns men mention include:
-
Low energy / fatigue
-
Reduced libido
-
Mood changes or irritability
-
Reduced strength or slower recovery
-
Changes in body composition despite effort
-
Lower motivation or mental “drive”
Guidelines emphasize appropriate diagnosis and monitoring when testosterone therapy is used.
How do you know if TRT is appropriate?
We don’t guess. We evaluate:
-
Your symptoms and health history,
-
Medication and lifestyle factors,
-
Labs to confirm patterns,
-
And potential risks/contraindications.
If TRT isn’t a fit, we’ll tell you—and discuss alternatives.
What does treatment look like?
If you qualify and choose to proceed, we outline:
-
Route of therapy and expectations,
-
Monitoring cadence,

Insurance

We do not participate with insurance because it is our mission to focus on science-based, individualized care—not what an insurance plan will or won’t cover. Aloha Aesthetics MD is a cash-based practice, and payment is due at the time of service.
We understand this may be disappointing at first. Many patients tell us the difference is clear once they experience the convenience, time, and attention that comes with an independent medical practice. Our priority is you: a thoughtful evaluation, a clear plan, and follow-up based on your goals and medical history—not administrative requirements.
Quarterly labs are part of safe, responsible care. Your monthly membership fee includes the required quarterly labs, so your monitoring plan is built in and predictable.
Optional add-on line (use if true): Additional labs outside the required quarterly monitoring panel may be recommended based on your history or symptoms and may involve an additional charge.
We have opted out of Medicare. Medicare beneficiaries may be seen only if they sign the required private contract/waiver acknowledging that services are paid out-of-pocket and not submitted to Medicare.
Cancellation Policy
Your appointments and well-being are very important to us! We understand that sometimes, unexpected delays can occur, necessitating schedule adjustments. If you need to cancel your appointment, we respectfully request at least 24 hours before your appointment time to avoid the $100 cancellation fee.
